The Trustees of The Ray Lowe Sporting Foundation, with the valued support of the Guernsey Sports Comission and the approval of the Lancresse Golf Course Interclub Sports Committee, were fortunate enough to secure the afternoon of Friday 14th September 2012 to hold a RLSF team golf event at Lancresse Golf Course.
The four ball better ball Stableford event was followed by a prize presentation & dinner at the Royal Guernsey Golf Club.
The 1st team prize was won by the Colombians with a score of 85 points.
2nd team place went to Yorkies Bar One and 3rd team place to Great Warro’s Warriors.
Doyle Motors generously sponsored a Hole in One Prize of a Honda Insight. Unfortunately nobody managed to drive away in the car although Steve Birkett came the closest to securing this prize by winning Nearest the Pin on the 18th.
Lee Merrien kindly agreed to present the team prizes and, following dinner, Dave Warr conducted a very interesting Question & Answer session with Lee about his experiences at the London Olympics.
The Trustees were also delighted to be able to announce at this event that Lee has agreed to act as our Foundation Ambassador.
Thanks to the generosity of the players & guests a further £2,500 was raised for the Foundation on the night.
