Our People

The Foundation is being run through a Guernsey Charitable Trust, which was formed on the 25th November 2011. The people who will be responsible for the Foundation and the granting of funds are as follows :


Karen New – Trustee

Karen, eldest daughter of Ray & Margaret Lowe, worked alongside her father for over 20 years and continues to run the family business. Karen is actively involved in working with local charities, most notably the Lady Taverners Guernsey Region which she chaired from 2004 to 2007, and during that time helped to give many local special needs and disadvantaged children a sporting chance.

David Warr – Trustee

David is a qualified Chartered Accountant, now semi retired, and already active within the Charitable sector in Guernsey. He is currently Vice Chairman of the Guernsey Sports Commission LBG and the Guernsey Community Foundation LBG. David has enjoyed a lifelong interest in sport most notably golf in which he has represented the Island on numerous occasions.

Jenny Nicolle – Trustee

Jenny has been involved with local sport for many years and took up the game of bowls in 1970. Jenny represented Guernsey at both Commonwealth Games and Worlds Bowls level several times prior to retiring from competitive bowls in 1996. Jenny, now semi-retired after working in the finance industry for many years, continues to work with local charities and non-profit organisations in various administration roles.

Frith

Jeremy Frith – Trustee

Jeremy Frith is the Performance Director with the Guernsey Sports Commission and an Education Development Officer within the Educational Psychology Service. He played county cricket in England from age groups through to county 2nd XI and in the summer still returns at weekends to England where he captains Sparsholt Cricket Club having played at the club since the age of 12. He is also an ECB Level 4 Coach, Coach Educator, assessor and mentor.

Jeremy has a passion for all levels of sport and the impact that it can have on improving people’s lives. Developing a level playing field to ensure sport is inclusive of all people from all backgrounds is core to Jeremy’s focus.

Mike Quarrington – Treasurer

Mike is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Securities Institute. Although he is now retired he is active in a number of Guernsey charities. He has had a active interest in sport all of his life and in particular football. and he is currently a director of a professional football club in the UK, namely Gillingham FC. He is still a keen and regular golfer.

 

 

 

 

 

Olly Tracey – Secretary

Olly is the Director of On Screen Creations Limited, a Video Production & Digital Marketing Company specialising in Live Production Environments & Online Hosting. Previously he has spent three and a half years working for a sporting organisation in the charitable sector. Olly witnessed the benefit sport can provide to young people here in the Bailiwick first hand, and is passionate about using sport as a tool to empower young people to enjoy a better quality of life.

When he isn’t behind a camera lens filming for his company he can be found out on Guernsey’s roads on two wheels keen to stay fit exercising on his bicycle.
