Our 60’s Night, held on 13th May at St. Pierre Park Hotel, was a tremendous success both in terms of guest enjoyment and the fundraising which raised a substantial sum, far in excess of our predictions. La Fontaine was beautifully themed by In Any Event which really added to the 60’s vibe of the evening. Many of the guests dressed in 60’s style including our Best Dressed Lady who came attired as a Thunderbird…!!
Entertainment was provided by Mike Sullivan with his amazing table magic and three musical numbers from GATE performed by extremely talented young dancers and singers. The evening was rounded off by live music from popular local band “Last of the Light Brigade” who ensured the dance floor was filled until the last song. All of this entertainment was very ably held together by our fabulous compere and auctioneer, Dennis Burns. With the help of sponsors, guests and organisers, we raised over £9,000 for the Foundation which will enable us to continue to support many young Guernsey people to participate in sport.
